Peels
General points
Skin peels were created to fight against skin ageing. The technique is limited to medical uses and is carried out in doctors’ offices or in aesthetic medicine centres.
Peels done by a dermatologist are quite close, in principle, to exfoliations. The skin's surface layers are removed, uncovering a skin that is more radiant and less wrinkled underneath. Peels have been used for a very long time. The ingredients, the amount applied to the face, how it is applied and how long it is left: these are all factors in a peel's success.
The practitioner applies an acidic chemical solution to the face; the strength of the solution is adjusted according to requirements. It acts in just a couple of minutes (1 or 2 minutes for the face).
There are few contraindications for this method.
Before any peel, you need to take a course of treatment at home to prepare the skin. This also ensures that there is no risk of allergies.
